Between the Lure Lodge and the Main Building is an expansive outdoor patio with a fantastic view of the Lake. I was able to capture this view in the early morning light.

This is one of my first paintings of Lake Cumberland at the end of the road that deadends along the reservior. The town of Rowena had been located at this site before construction of the dam.

I was fascinated by the large State Dock area accessible from the Park. The mirror "V" shapes created by the sky and the water was something I wanted try compositionally.

Most of my explorations were in the Northeast end of the Park where the bulk of the infrastructure has been built. I was really curious about the dam area at the far end of the Lake and on my last October morning took the 10 mile drive to view that area. This study is the result.
